It is very important that groups be registered and
group information be kept updated.
Group information is used by World Service and local
service arms to direct newcomers and existing members to your group.
WSO, Districts, Areas and other service arms also use group information to
keep in contact with groups about District, Area and World Service news.
Each registered group receives a complementary copy of the Service Manual
each time it is updated along with highlights and information about other
conference approved literature.
The procedure for updating group information is as
follows: Group members are responsible for registering and updating their
group information by filling out the Group Records Form and
returning it to their DR (District Representative). The DR should
then forward the information to the Area Alternate Delegate which in turn
forwards the information to Area Officers, Coordinators and World Service.
It is important that the information follows this path so that Area
Officers, Coordinators, public outreach and other service arms in the
local Area get informed of the information change.
If you wish to register a new Al-Anon or Alateen group or
want to make changes to an existing groups address, contact information,
meeting schedule, etc., please fill out the Group Records Form
and forward it to your District Representative. The form may be

Return the form to your District Representative, Area
Alternate Delegate or Area Delegate.

Alabama NW Florida is Area 64.
Jefferson, Shelby,

put the District and Area number of your location in these
boxes on the form. If you are registering a new group, leave the WSO
ID number box blank. To make changes to an existing group,
you will need to fill in your WSO ID number for your group. If you are
unsure what your Group, District or Area numbers are, contact you local
District Representative, Alternate Delegate or Area Delegate for assistance.
